Have you heard the phrase, “Life begins At Forty”

Health

When we enter our thirties and the years seem to fly past at an alarming rate, we are constantly told as a reassuring comment that “Life Begins At Forty”.   Having passed that milestone over twenty years ago, my husband and I can testify to the fact that our bodies actually start to complain and ache when we reach forty and life as we knew it begins to decline!  The ailments that in the past we would have shrugged off and carried on working with, now have a more serious effect, and can sometimes even make us bed bound or even hospitalised!

We do everything we can to stay fit, agile and healthy but sometimes we might end up needing the help of Disability Aids from a company such as https://www.abilitysuperstore.com/ at least if these aids do help us to stay independent in the comfort of our own homes then they are worth their weight in gold!

From forty the ten-year milestones seem to arrive and depart in a flash and before we know it, we are the other side of sixty and heading for retirement.  There is hope for all of us though in the sentiment of the two old adages that “Age is just a number” and “You are only as old as you feel”.  Now approaching sixty-three my husband and I are determined to enjoy the remaining years we have together and exercise everyday by either walking, cycling, swimming, or working in the garden.
